Lake Tellico, located in East Tennessee, is a pristine waterway with 15,560 acres of water surface and a spectacular 357 miles of shoreline.  Lake Tellico, also known as the Tellico Reservoir, was created by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 1979 after the completion of the Tellico Dam.  The Tellico Dam impounds the Little Tennessee River and the lower Tellico River.  Lake Tellico, for many years, has provided East Tennessee visitors and the residents with scenic beauty and tons of water recreation.
